![]() This article is part of Project Classes, a project focused in writing articles for every class present in the Fire Emblem series. This last version of the Recruit, here denoted as Recruit (3), can still only use lances, but is compensated somewhat by possessing an innate 15% critical hit bonus. The Recruit (2) acts like a basic class and levels and promotes as normal it has the option to either promote to Paladin, or to again stay as a Recruit. However, after completing both Eirika and Ephraim's game modes, Recruits gain a third promotion option: to stay as a Recruit after promotion, a state here denoted as Recruit (2). By default, the Recruit has two promotion options, Cavalier or Knight, giving them access to three potential advanced classes depending on their chosen basic class: Paladin, Great Knight and General. After promoting, their level and promotion progression will act as normal for a basic class. Unlike normal classes, the Recruit's level cap is 10, whereupon they will stop gaining experience and will change class at the beginning of the next map's preparations screen. Described as young lance-wielding foot soldiers, freshly recruited into the army and new to fighting, the class in and of itself is rather weak and limited, but has the potential to class change to a wider spectrum of classes and, being that it initially class changes into otherwise basic classes, gives its constituent units a greater amount of time to gain levels and stat increases. ![]() This guide for Fire Emblem Engage currently contains the following: A deep dive on all of the game’s mechanics A Searchable Database featuring all: Characters Classes Emblems Weapons Gifts Dishes and many more to come The best ways to Grind How to recruit.
